I’ve written about The National Register of Historic Places once before. It’s a federal program run by the U.S. Department of the Interior’s National Park Service for the preservation of significant cultural and historical buildings.
The organization provides federal and state tax credits for restoration work but doesn’t include any development restrictions to preserve the cultural and historical significance of a community or structure.
The latest addition to the Register are 6 Prince George’s County sites.
