Handling and healing the skeletons in your family closet

The Arizona Family History Expo is scheduled to take place this week in Mesa Arizona on Friday 21st and 22nd January, 2011 and promises to be an interesting two days. It’s certainly noteworthy that these occasions are increasing in popularity from coast to coast and around the world.

One event that really caught my eye is scheduled to take place on Friday evening January 21, 2011 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM MST when the keynote speaker Bridget Cook will discuss “Handling and Healing the Skeletons in your Genealogical Closet”.

I won’t go as far as to suggest that everyone has a skeleton in their family closet, but most people do and not everyone wants to claim them. In some cases it almost seems illustrious to have a few people hanging in the family closet, but it may still be very sensitive if the skeletons are more recent ancestors like grandparents or great grandparents. Is it better to tell the truth now or leave it for future generations to uncover? In many cases now is the only time to find out because current information my not exist in the future. Do it now is a good rule of thumb.

Ms. Cook, is transformational speaker and national best-selling author will be sharing not only hair raising accounts, but also healing stories from her work that have been featured on Oprah. Attendees can expect to hear valuable tips and insights for handling and perhaps healing the skeletons in the family closet.
